The curtain is rising once again at the University of Mary Washington’s Klein Theatre in Fredericksburg, and theatre lovers have every reason to celebrate. Dial “M” for Murder
September 18 – 28, 2025
The season opens with suspense and sophistication as Dial “M” for Murder brings intrigue to the Klein Theatre stage. This clever new adaptation by Jeffrey Hatcher (based on Frederick Knott’s classic) revives Alfred Hitchcock’s timeless thriller. Expect an evening of manipulation, mystery, and edge-of-your-seat tension. A Pay-What-You-Can preview on September 17 offers early audiences a chance to witness the drama first.
Godspell
November 6 – 23, 2025
A burst of color, music, and joy lights up the stage with Godspell, Stephen Schwartz’s beloved rock musical based on the Gospel of Matthew. With its upbeat score, creative staging, and messages of love and community, Godspell will fill the theatre with energy and heart. Hand to God
February 5 – 15, 2026
This darkly funny, sharply insightful comedy by Robert Askins explores faith, fear, and the complexities of human nature—with a twist of puppet-driven chaos. Hand to God pushes boundaries while offering plenty of laughs and heart. A Pay-What-You-Can preview on February 4 gives audiences an early look at this daring, high-energy production.
Henry V
April 9 – 19, 2026
The season closes with one of Shakespeare’s most stirring historical dramas. Henry V brings the grit and glory of battle to life while examining what it truly means to be a leader.
